Explore a free magical forest in the heart of Sydney

Immerse yourself in Santa’s magical light forest — Market City’s free, interactive and playful Christmas display. Each step you take can bring the forest to life, illuminating hundreds of enchanting lights along the way. With shimmering trees, the best selfie spots and flying reindeer overhead, there’s something to delight every visitor!

While magical, we know the holidays can also be a busy time. So come meet up with Santa, and take some photos! No bookings are required and best of all — it’s free!
Just bring your phone, and Santa’s trusty elf will snap the perfect picture of you, your family, friends or office team.

Make a difference with the Tree of Friendship
Every day, Wednesday 1 November — Saturday 30 December, Level 1, Centre Court
Dedicated to supporting children at Bear Cottage, RPA Paediatric Clinic and PCYC South Sydney, the Tree of Friendship focuses on helping kids aged 6 to 12 build friendships through play.
Donate a gift before Saturday 30 December, and write an uplifting note to be delivered to a child in need this festive season! We are looking for carefully selected gifts for outdoor and indoor activities and games — such as bats and balls, kites, skipping ropes, scooters, skates, and sporting attire like gloves, knee pads, shoes and clothing. We’re also looking for arts and crafts, like colouring books, art books, pens, pencils, paints and playdough.
Officially opened by The City of Sydney’s Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Robert Kok and Councillor Linda Scott, the Tree of Friendship is a heart-warming collaboration between the Rotary Club of Sydney and Market City Shopping Centre.
We eagerly anticipate the warmth, joy and lasting connections this initiative brings to our community.
