We’ve officially blessed the new Food Court!
August 24, 2017
Were you there to see the awesome spectacle last Saturday?
Market City’s new Food Court offers an amazing selection of Chinese, Thai, Taiwanese and Japanese restaurants, including the recently opened Kaedama Ramen Bar. Soon, popular eateries, The Taste of Cho and Central Café will also open, further extending the Level 1 food offering for Market City customers.
Jin Wu Koon performed their traditional Chinese Lion Dance to officially bless the new Level 1 food court on Saturday, 19 August. In Chinese culture, Lion Dance performers mimic a lion’s gestures and emotions to bring luck, fortune and prosperity to the places where they perform. The lion also performed the traditional custom of “cai qing” whereby the lion plucks a lettuce containing a red-packet hung above the new retailer. The red packet contains money which is a token of appreciation for the lion performers.
The new Level 1 Food Court is open daily from 10am to 7pm, and 8pm on Thursdays. We invite you to come along and explore cuisines from around the world at Sydney’s newest food court.
