Fugetsu has created a delicate trio of heart-shaped California rolls, made fresh with Tasmanian salmon and Australian avocado. Each piece of sushi can easily be split into two making it the perfect meal for a couple in love.

Robert Shin, owner and chef at Fugetsu says, “Sushi is the ideal food of love with its bite-sized portions perfect for sharing, or to spice things up. Sushi has just the right balance of freshness and familiarity, making it an ideal meal for any special occasion. For many of our customers, our sushi has that little something “extra” that is also perfect for celebrations too.”

Did you know? Fugetsu serves three hearts to all couples, as three is a significant number for Shinto-style weddings where the wedding couple participates in a ritual called san san kudo, which translates into English as “three-three-nine times”. They each take a sip of saké from three saké cups stacked on top of each other called sakazuki. The top smallest cup represents heaven, the medium-sized middle cup represents earth, and the bottom larger cup represents humankind. Next, the parents may also take a sip from each of the three cups, sealing the bond between the two families.
